hi everyone, thanks for tuning in! my name is Yesenia. i created this site to document and share my experiences as i begin my grad school journey because sometimes my thoughts can’t be fully articulated in a 280 character tweet. additionally, i believe my (historically excluded) perspective while navigating academia is particularly important to share with the world. not to flex, but my lived experience is like, super valuable. also, i just like to talk about myself!
although this site is called nonbinaryneuro, i am a whole person outside of neuroscience! i’m passionate about improving transgender healthcare, color theory, mitski, earrings, interior design, and most recently, my guinea pigs, Little Miss Petunia and Princess Diana.
i’m really excited to share my experiences with the world wide web as i grow as both a researcher and a human being and eventually become DOCTOR nonbinaryneuro. thank you so much for checking out my silly little blog, and stay tuned for more updates!
